Are you looking for an automated system that will provide you with profitable niche keywords?
In a previous post on a microniche case study, I talked about the LongTailPremium tool, which I’ve been using for a long time. A full review of LongTailPro was overdue.
Today I’m going to share a detailed LongTailPro review and also show you how to use it to find the perfect keywords for your blog or niche or review sites.
When working on a micro niche blog, one of the biggest challenges is finding the right keywords that can drive traffic, rank easily, and generate big revenue for you.
LongTailPro is a desktop keyword research tool that runs on Adobe Air (works on Windows and Mac).
It’s a premium tool that costs $47/month. You can also test it for 1 USD for the next 10 days via this link.
I suggest you sign up for their trial so you can try it yourself while reading this review and tutorial.
One great thing about LongTailPro is that you don’t need to be an SEO master to use this tool. The user interface is simple and straightforward. You will get used to it very quickly.
Here’s a success story from a blogger who started using LongTailPro for keyword research:
This SEO tool is more than just a keyword research tool as it is loaded with tons of features. Here are some of those features that will make you want to try it right away:
Go to LongTailPro.com and grab a $1 10-day trial (while the offer is still valid) with all the features you need to get started.
The very first thing you need to do here is to create a campaign.
Remember that the country you choose is the search country for your keyword research.
After creating the campaign, it’s a piece of cake, because the rest of the LTP (LongTailPro) interface is easy to use and self-explanatory.
Start your keyword research here. The LongTailPro dashboard offers you various settings to specify your keyword research.
You can use it for your existing website or you can use it to find a new micro niche website. I want you to pay special attention to the filter section because this is where you will find keywords based on CPC.
You can define a minimum CPC for keywords.
If you want to find long-tail keywords, you should select the “Words” section and enter the minimum number of words to search.
For example, I use the seed keywords “affiliate marketing”.
Click Generate Keywords and LongTailPro will do all the hard work for you. It will take a few minutes to get the results, so grab a coffee in the meantime.
After the coffee break… 😉
This is what my results page looks like. Many keywords have already been found based on my filter (CPC):
Here you can sort the list by CPC, local and global searches. Before proceeding, filter out the irrelevant keywords by clicking the “X” sign. This will help you stay organized and keep your list clean.
Now click on any of the keywords that you find useful for your micro-niche site and it will take you to the competitor analysis page.
If you’re in a competitive niche, there are certain factors you need to pay attention to.
For example, it would be easier to outperform any competition with fewer backlinks and less domain authority.
You can use the LongTailPro competitor analysis tool to review all of these important details.
Take a look at the screenshot below and try to see how easy it is to find a “low hanging”, profitable keyword. The lower the competition is, the more money you can make 😉
Remember to make the most of “Filters” in “Campaign Settings” and use the “X” every time to create a clean keyword list.
After repeating the process a few times, go back to Keyword Research and click Export to export your final keywords to an Excel file.
So far you’ve learned how to use some of LongTail Pro’s features.
LongTail Platinum helps streamline everything for you. This provides important features such as:
If you want to buy LongTailPro, you should get the monthly Pro plan, which allows for 12,500 keyword searches per month.
You will see a column for preferred keywords (“Favorites”) and on the Keywords results page you can select any keyword of your choice as a favorite (see screenshot above)
This is a feature that you will find very useful as it allows you to choose the best keyword for your website without wasting a lot of time. In LongTailPlatinum you will find the “Avg. KC” column on the Keyword Research and Competitor Analysis pages.
Here’s what the different Avg. KC values mean:
This makes it much easier for you to choose easy-to-rank keywords based on keyword competitiveness.
Note: This feature is no longer available in the cloud version. I reached out to their team to find out if they’re adding this feature anytime soon.
This is one of the least talked about features of LTP as most bloggers only use LongTailPro for keyword research and keyword competitiveness checking.
But this feature is really cool.
You can check keyword ranking on major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) right from your desktop. There are no restrictions here and you can add as many domains or keywords as you want.
LongTailPlatinum is a keyword research tool for smart and modern bloggers.
It doesn’t matter what type of website you have, LTP will help you find the best keywords to use for your blog to drive more traffic and earn more revenue, no matter what methods you choose.
If you have a blog where AdSense is your main source of income, you can use this tool to find long-tail keywords with a high AdSense CPC.
At $47/month, this investment is well worth your money.
My micro-niche site generating $1575 per month is a result of LongTailPro. It always depends on the optimal keyword research. If you find keywords with a relatively high search volume and low difficulty with Long Tail Pro, you will be rewarded with high organic rankings in no time. It is therefore worth investing in a professional keyword tool. I will probably never be able to do without this keyword research tool again, as it allows me to generate a lot of traffic for my website and generate so much income through advertising.
All in all, this keyword tool is very well suited to finding keywords with which you can quickly rank in the organic search results on Google and Bing.
I use LongTailPro almost every day to find profitable keywords for my blogs and I can’t recommend it enough.
I hope this Longtailpro review was helpful and that you now know how this powerful keyword research tool can help you find profitable keywords for your blog.
